I love notebooks. 📓 Reading this makes me want to put something in them. 😊lm going to start today as I wait for my daughter’s appointment to be over. Thank you.

Yay! That's the best compliment I can think of.

What a cornucopia of beautiful notebooks (and beautifully inventive notebookers)! I think I've shared this idea with you before, Jillian: Wouldn't it be fun to create a course or challenge where participants are prompted to try out a different notebooking style every day or week or month, as a way of expanding their own ways of thinking? I'd sign on for sure!

I love that idea, Helen! And I've been mulling it over ever since you brought it up.

Thanks for sharing this, Jillian. It's amazing to see the endless variety of how people take notes and how they use them. I feel inspired!

I love seeing these different styles of notetaking from all of us. It’s fascinating how varied our minds work at processing information. Thank you!

Yes. I love the variety!

This was so interesting and I enjoyed all of the different ways that the artists were creating. I love a look inside the creative mind(notebook).

Me too! And notebooks feel like the closest we can get to looking inside a creative person's mind.

MAYBE this little physical activity gives the creative process just the right nudge..... Texting may be more " efficient ", but one doesn't get much to change gears ( or something similar ).

Oh, I totally agree!

I usually try some type of meditation before working on art pieces. But " different strokes ".....

I love these ways of noting creative ideas. As a writer myself I tend to look for ways to develop my writing project ideas. I am beginning to think a "Noted" practice would really help me. I follow "Dandelion Seeds" so it was wonderful to see how she does her notes. I looking forward to starting my own "notes" notebook in the upcoming year. Thanks for sharing these amazing notebook ideas!

Notebooks are a writer’s most powerful tool. Of course, I’m biased! All to say: definitely start (or continue) your own notes practice!

I love seeing other people's notebook processes! I'm really enjoying keeping a painting sketch notebook, it is expanded my art in new directions. Thanks for sharing

This is a great serie, I love how Candace lays out he motive of tea in this table-like format. It gives an overview, you can get as detailed as you want or leave it open for interpretation when you start the individual posts. Her completed essay is a joy to read!

I completely agree! I love a good table. And Candace’s work is so inspiring.

These are incredible! That page from Meaghan is especially stunning. What a glimpse into process and tranquillity and inspiration through notes.

Thanks, Nathan. I squealed when I opened Meaghan’s email. Her images are so magical. Hope you’re doing well, Nathan, and making it through the end of the semester!

Thanks Jillian. Same to you!

Yeah, all results signed off on last week, so semester is officially over (students are now off until Feb unless they’re doing a summer elective)! Just two small grants to submit by early Dec and then it’s the wind down to Christmas. I’m sooo ready.

Thanks for sharing these insightful notebooks. I especially loved looking at the work that goes into creating the posts for the newsletter Dandelion Seeds by Candace Rose Rardon. I have always admired her work and now I have a glimpse into her thought process. Delightful!
